Lagos State Police Commissioner bans #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria protest

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, announced the ban on the ongoing #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria protest following President Bola Tinubu’s address to the aggrieved demonstrators.

In a statement made to journalists on Sunday, Fayoade declared that any public gatherings in the state are now deemed unlawful and illegal in light of the President’s recent address to the protesters.

“The protest has been called off because of the President’s speech. They believe that the President has spoken, and they are looking forward to him meeting their demands.

“In view of that there should be no more gathering here or anywhere, any of such is considered illegal and unlawful. Since It has been called off, we will apply the full weight of the law,” he said.
