The Nigerian Army (NA) honored the retirement of 15 generals from the Artillery Corps on Saturday, October 19, 2024, during a ceremonial parade held at the Nigerian Army School of Artillery (NASA) in Kachia, Kaduna State.

The retirees included 11 Major Generals and 4 Brigadier Generals.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Maj Gen James Myam (rtd) expressed gratitude for their long and fulfilling military careers, attributing their success to divine grace.

He thanked President Bola Tinubu and the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja, for the opportunity to serve, offering well wishes to the army’s leadership.

Maj Gen Myam also reflected on their early days as Officer Cadets at the Nigerian Defence Academy and encouraged serving officers to remain loyal to the Constitution and the democratic government, while staying vigilant in their duties.

The event drew several high-ranking military officers, including former Chief of Army Staff, Maj Gen Alwali Kazir (rtd), who joined in celebrating the distinguished service of the retirees.
