Police constable commits suicide by shooting self in Nasarawa

A tragic incident occurred at the Mada Station Division of the Nasarawa State Police Command, where a police constable, Dogara Akolo-Moses, reportedly took his own life while on duty.

Sources revealed that the officer had carried out his duties normally earlier in the day.

However, his colleagues were alarmed by a sudden gunshot after he entered a private room within the station.

“When his colleagues rushed in, they found him lying in a pool of blood, with his gun beside him,” an eyewitness recounted.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Nasarawa State Police Command, Ramhan Nansel, stated that investigations are ongoing to uncover the reasons behind the officer’s actions.

The police assured the public that all efforts would be made to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic death.
