Premier League: Rice late strike fires Arsenal to 1-1 draw against Man United

Arsenal salvaged a crucial point at Old Trafford as Declan Rice’s thunderous strike canceled out Bruno Fernandes’ first-half free-kick in a tense Premier League encounter against Manchester United.
Despite dominating the first half, the Gunners struggled to convert their chances and were punished in stoppage time when Fernandes curled a 25-yard free-kick past an out-of-position David Raya.
However, Raya redeemed himself after the break with key saves to deny Noussair Mazraoui and Joshua Zirkzee.
Arsenal finally found a breakthrough in the 74th minute when United failed to clear their lines, allowing Rice to unleash a powerful drive past Andre Onana at the Stretford End.
While the result ensured a share of the spoils, it did little to aid Arsenal’s title chase, with Liverpool maintaining a commanding 15-point lead at the summit, having played a game more.
It could have been worse for Arsenal as it took a miraculous double stop from Raya to keep out Fernandes in the dying seconds to prevent United taking all three points.
