Prophet Ebuka Obi of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach has distanced himself from a woman who recently testified in his church, claiming she bought a house worth ₦500 million.

A viral video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) since Sunday showed the cleric denying any personal connection to the woman and accusing her of lying against God and the church’s altar.

The controversy arose after reports suggested that the woman’s testimony was fabricated, sparking reactions online.

Addressing the issue, Obi clarified that he had no prior relationship with her and that, like many others, she simply came forward to share what was assumed to be a personal testimony.

“I said it last month that my name would be all over the media. I said the media would be shaking, making it look real, but it’s all fake,” Obi stated.

“I heard from clergymen in the East that bloggers were sponsored. Now, do I know her? Does any member know her? She came to testify, just like hundreds of others who come here daily.

“If the house she claimed to own is fake, then it is her who lied before God and His altar — not the ministry,” he added.
