Robbers gang-rape housewife, steal valuables in Kano, police launch probe

The Kano State Police Command has commenced an investigation into a violent home invasion and gang assault that took place in Tatsan Yamma Village, Tsanyawa Local Government Area.
According to police reports, the attack occurred around 6:00 a.m. on Friday when five suspected robbers forcefully entered the home of a 50-year-old man, Muttaqa Malam.
The assailants reportedly broke into the room of his wife, Hadiza Muttaqa, 27, restraining her with a USB cable before gang-raping her. They later fled with stolen valuables.
“Intelligence sources confirmed that a group of five unidentified hoodlums stormed the home of one Muttaqa Malam at approximately 6:00 a.m.,” the police stated.
Hadiza was rushed to Bichi General Hospital for urgent medical treatment. Meanwhile, crime scene detectives have been deployed to gather evidence, while local authorities assure residents that a full-scale manhunt is underway to track down the perpetrators.
The incident has sparked outrage in the community, with residents calling on security agencies to take swift action to curb rising crime rates.
The Kano State Police Command has vowed to intensify security measures and ensure justice is served. Authorities are also urging the public to provide any credible information that could aid in the arrest of the suspects.
