UCL 2024-2025: Lookman bags goal, assist as Atalanta beat Shakhtar Donetsk 3-0

Ademola Lookman delivered a standout performance with a goal and an assist as Atalanta secured a 3-0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk in their UEFA Champions League encounter at the VELTINS-Arena on Wednesday night.

Lookman set up Switzerland international Berat Djimsiti for the opening goal in the 21st minute. The 26-year-old then doubled Atalanta’s lead just before halftime, with Saed Kolasinac providing the assist.

Raoul Bellanova added a third goal for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side shortly after the break. Lookman was substituted for Matteo Retegui on the hour mark.

Atalanta will face Scottish champions Celtic in their next Champions League fixture.
