UEL: 10-men Man Utd grab draw at Porto

Harry Maguire’s dramatic injury-time header rescued Manchester United from a 3-3 draw at Porto, after they surrendered a two-goal lead and saw captain Bruno Fernandes sent off in another chaotic Europa League match.

United seemed in control early on, with Marcus Rashford scoring in the seventh minute and Rasmus Hojlund doubling the lead shortly after.

However, Porto fought back, as Pepe and Samu Omorodion scored before halftime, and Omorodion completed the comeback just five minutes into the second half.

Fernandes’ second yellow card left United with 10 men for the final stretch, and Porto missed chances to extend their lead. But in the first of five added minutes, substitute Maguire rose to meet Christian Eriksen’s corner, heading home to snatch a vital point for the Red Devils.

While Maguire’s late heroics spared Erik ten Hag another damaging loss, United’s early season struggles continue, with just three wins from their first 10 matches and recurring defensive lapses.
