Former President Muhammadu Buhari has declared that Nigeria’s security and economy significantly improved during his eight-year tenure.

Speaking on Wednesday at his country home in Daura, Katsina State, while receiving members of the Katsina State Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Buhari maintained that his administration successfully tackled the challenges he inherited in 2015.

He insisted that strategic policies implemented under his leadership curbed terrorism and economic instability.

“Security and economy improved significantly in Nigeria under my administration compared to what we met in 2015. Things will continue to improve in Nigeria,” Buhari said.

He stressed that only those in power truly understand the difficulties in governance, pointing out the bottlenecks leaders face in executing policies.

Chairman of the Katsina Correspondents’ Chapel, Alhaji Yusuf Jargaba, commended Buhari’s efforts in addressing terrorism and banditry, stating that his leadership helped maintain Nigeria’s unity.
