Varane joins Como’s board after retirement
Former Manchester United and Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has joined the board of Serie A club Como.
The appointment was confirmed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his X account on Saturday.
Varane, who recently retired from professional football in September following an injury-hit stint at Como, will now take on a new role off the pitch as part of the club’s leadership team.
The Frenchman’s transition to board member marks the next chapter in his football journey after a decorated playing career at some of Europe’s top clubs.
