In an unforgettable evening at the 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris, Spain emerged victorious as Rodri and Aitana Bonmatí were crowned the world’s best male and female footballers, respectively.

Rodri’s exceptional form, showcased both in his club matches and on the international stage, earned him the prestigious men’s Ballon d’Or.

Meanwhile, Bonmatí retained the Ballon d’Or Féminin, having led Barcelona to an unprecedented quadruple and contributed to Spain’s ongoing international success.

Barcelona’s 16-year-old wonderkid, Lamine Yamal, was celebrated with the Kopa Trophy, an award for the best Under-21 player worldwide.

His breakthrough season with both Barcelona and Spain made him the undisputed choice for this accolade.

Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s coach who notably skipped the event, was honored with the Men’s Coach of the Year award.

Adding to the celebration, Barcelona was named Women’s Club of the Year following an outstanding 2023/24 season, which saw them claim the Liga F, UEFA Women’s Champions League, Copa de la Reina, and Spanish Supercopa titles.
