NFF introduces monthly honors for Nigerian stars worldwide

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has launched a monthly award to acknowledge the “outstanding performances of Nigerian football players” both locally and internationally, including those in the NPFL.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the NFF announced that the awards are designed to “honour the brilliance, dedication, and passion that Nigerian football players bring to the game,” recognizing exceptional players who make significant contributions on the field.

The awards will be divided into three key categories: Player of the Month for both male and female footballers, Goal of the Month, and Discovery of the Month.

NFF added that the nomination process for the award will be done by “an independent organisation” which “will collect and analyse players’ statistics throughout the month, ensuring that the best performances are highlighted”.
