In an effort to alleviate the hardship faced by citizens, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has donated N50,000 each to 1,000 less-privileged women in Nasarawa State.

The donation was made during a ceremony at the Government House in Lafia on Thursday.

Represented by Silifat Abdullahi-Sule, wife of Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule, Mrs. Tinubu explained that the beneficiaries were selected from rural communities across the state’s 13 Local Government Areas. The initiative aims to support women at the grassroots by boosting their economic activities and improving their livelihoods.

Speaking to the beneficiaries, Mrs. Abdullahi-Sule urged them to use the funds wisely to justify the effort. One of the beneficiaries, Hanatu Luka from Obi LGA, expressed gratitude, noting that the financial assistance would uplift their economic conditions.

This follows Mrs. Tinubu’s previous humanitarian efforts in June, when she distributed food items to over 1,200 Internally Displaced Persons, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups in Nasarawa.
